Backend Developer – Infrastructure Tools

About Role: We're looking for a backend engineer to help build reliable, maintainable systems that support infrastructure contractors at scale. You’ll work closely with product and frontend teams to deliver secure, high-performance features used in day-to-day construction operations.As part of our early team, your work will shape the foundations of the platform.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and integrations that power Tuskus Core and Bids
- Write clean, testable code with long-term maintainability in mind
- Collaborate with product teams to plan and deliver backend features
- Ensure high availability, performance, and data integrity
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to backend architecture decisions
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years of experience in backend development (Node.js, TypeScript preferred)
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and authentication systems
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS)
- Experience building scalable systems with clear separation of concerns
- Ability to work independently with clarity and accountability
- Clear communication in written and spoken English
